The applied approach refers to the research and analysis of a certain problem and a specific client. This can be difficult with patients who have PD because it comes in all different shapes and sizes. The main component is globalization because anthropologists look at each disease from every aspect and culture. Parkinson's disease can affect each patient differently and each patient can respond to treatments differently, this makes it difficult to come up with one solution to this disease. Looking back at the critical approach, the Western Culture has stuck to a couple of treatment methods, including Levedopa and Deep Brain Stimulation. Globalization, however, looks at treatments from all over the world. Including the chinese treatment of acupuncture and herbs (Xue). In the article Parkinson's Disease: Possible Treatment with Chinese Medicine, Dharmananda mentions an herbal recipe that is used to help the elderly with PD, maintain proper nourishments to enhance treatment. Although a small population is affected by PD, it is important to share treatments within cultures.
